I am a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist (Registration number 5157185) this is an accreditation that requires a substantially higher level of qualification and experience than BACP.
I first trained as a counsellor, gaining my Diploma in Counselling in 2000. I went on to train as a Psychotherapist and in 2005 was awarded a Master of Science (MSc) Degree and Clinical Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy by Middlesex University/Metanoia Institute. I engage in regular training events, workshops and courses so that my knowledge of theory, practice and personal development is ongoing.
I am also qualified as a supervisor and supervise counsellors and psychotherapists, both qualified and in training. Please see my supervision page for further information.
Please feel free to ask me more about this or see www.psychotherapy.org if you would like more details about UKCP registration.
With over 20 years experience, I have worked with a range of clients aged 17 to 70+ in private practice, the voluntary sector and University settings. I am experienced in both long term and time limited therapy.
Your needs will set the agenda for our work. I will work with you on whatever you choose to explore, for as long as is helpful to you. That may include relationship issues, depression, mental illness, anxiety, stress, work-based problems, bereavement and loss, low self-esteem, life changes, personal development or any other issue that troubles you.
